Getting Started
1. Open the window
Window → Niagara Browser
The first view is empty on purpose. Nothing from /Game is loaded until you add a folder.
2. Add a folder
Use any of these:
- Drag a folder from the Content Browser onto the window
- Drag a Niagara asset — its parent folder is added
- Click Browse and pick a path
- Type
/Game/FXand click Add
Each folder becomes a chip. Switch chips to change pages. Remove a chip with x.
3. Compile All (recommended)
Click Compile All before reviewing a large folder. The plugin loads and compiles each system in the background. The button shows Cancel N/M. Click it again to stop.
Visible tiles can still compile on their own. Compile All just does the work first so scrolling stays smoother.
4. Review tiles
- Left-click a tile to inspect it on the right
- Scroll on the selected tile to zoom
- Scroll elsewhere to move the list
- Tiles show Loading… then Compiling… until they play
- Extra tiles beyond the live budget show VRAM limit — select them to preview in the inspector
5. Inspector
The right panel loops the selected system. Use Replay to restart it, Reset Camera to reframe, and Open Editor to open the Niagara asset editor.
Drag the tile name into a level viewport to place an actor. Right-click for Open / Browse / Place / Copy Path.
